Per the attached article, the Insight Bowl and NFL Network reached an agreement to let the local Fox affiliate pick up the game in Kansas City and, perhaps, across Kansas. Anybody know if our athletic department is working on the same thing? I am sure that a key issue will be whether the NFL Network is "available" through the local providers, rather than how many people actually have the channel, but it would seem to be worth a phone call to get broader access for the game locally.

The U has been working on it but the relationship between the NFL Network and Comcast sucks. Doubt either has much incentive for good will.

But this is the season of peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Somebody needs to put aside their differences and make this happen. Please, think about the children! :p

Get DirecTV or visit a bar that does have it.

It's sad they can get Vikings games on KSTP but they can't for just one game get the Gophers on a local station somewhere in Minnesota. They need to put the egos aside and think of the fans in this one.

The Big ten making the TV deal or the Bowl making the deal. You would think it is the conference that is calling and making the deals. Every Big ten game should be on free TV.

The Athletic Dept is working on it. As of Monday the 15th they were "still in discussions." The Athletic Communications rep hopes to have an update at the bowl meeting next Monday.
