There were 25 exempt tournaments during the 2018-19 college basketball season. The Gophers were among those to win their exempt tournament (Vancouver Showcase) and then later qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Air Force Reserve (Naismith) Tip-Off: Michigan (Sweet 16)
Battle 4 Atlantis: Virginia (national champions)

Charleston Classic: Virginia Tech (Sweet 16)
Diamond Head Classic: TCU
Emerald Coast Classic: Cincinnati (1st round)
Fort Myers Tip-Off: Boston College
Gulf Coast Showcase: Toledo
Hall of Fame Classic: Texas Tech (national runner-up)
Islands of the Bahamas Showcase: Georgia Southern

Are we in an exempt tournament next year?

Are we in an exempt tournament next year?

Nothing announced yet.

Hunch is Gophers will either be in one where there are two neutral-site games (semifinals/finals) preceded by 2 home games, or they'll do an exempt event where they get 3 home games (usually Q4-type opponents) and 1 Power 6/quality opponent (could be home or road). Gophers did that the year we hosted Arkansas.
