The minimum scenario that should get Gophers into NCAA tourney

Here's the (reasonable) minimum scenario that I think gets the Gophers into the NCAA Tournament:

Win @ Northwestern

Beat Purdue or win @ Maryland

Win 1st-round game at Big Ten Tournament, preferably vs. Ohio State

That's 20-13, 10-12 vs. Big Ten opponents.

The reason I prefer playing Ohio State is the Buckeyes very well may end up squarely on the bubble right along with us, and probably more importantly it could be a 5th Quad 1 win (also Iowa, Maryland/Purdue, Washington, Wisconsin), though the Iowa win is in jeopardy of falling to Quad 2.

We differ on 2.

I have St. Mary's and Minnesota in.
I have NC State and Murray State out.

Last 4 In: Minnesota (last team in), St. Mary's, Seton Hall, Alabama
First 4 Out: Butler (first team out), UNC-Greensboro, NC State, Clemson
Next 4 Out: Davidson, Dayton, Creighton, Toledo

Palm has Gophers as 10 seed.

They need to win 2 of the last 3 and one big ten tourney game to even have a chance.

Out and dropping like a rock. I agree with what SS said about their minimum requirements. I don't see if happening though. They just are in such a free fall I am not
sure they can come back from it.

I reached this week with Murray State. That's not likely to last, though I will like Belmont's chances as an at-large if a few certain (specific) things happen.

Was a little surprised to see you had Murray St in there. But hey, to each their own, and a 23-4 record is pretty darn good. OVC is a good mid-major conference this year.

Agree on Belmont. Could easily see them getting an at-large.

Feel like 3 more wins no matter how they get them will be enough. Maybe even with 2 more if theyre MD and Purdue
