The Financial Mess, Auto Loans and Henry Ford

I was reading about Henry Ford this morning. He was a notorious anti-Semite. He believed that Jews were behind a "international banking conspiracy intent upon seizing control of the world's financial systems and destroying American manufacturing". Anybody with a least half a brain knew this was preposterous and that Ford's idea was ludicrous.

Ford was absolutely wrong in thinking that any Semite (Jewish, Arab or Coptic Christian) was behind this scheme.

Turns out it was the Senate Republicans.......

I just can't get beyond the ugliness and stupidity of how we got to this to even begin to sort out what might be the best fix if any. I do know that losing this industry is counter productive to investing in infrastructure, it's a very bad outcome to begin turning this economy around. But this train wreck is so long in coming I have a very hard time rewarding any of the players with any kind of a bailout.
