Lamonte Edwards

Thought you might want an update on Lamonte Edwards' performance last night, which was pretty impreseive. He had 170 yards on 23 carries, scoring 3 touchdowns in their opening night win vs. East Ridge, 34-7. He seems to have a good mix of power and speed that should play well at the next level. I think he would have helped the Gophers today!

East Ridge had a very good running back as well, Ezekiel Okeleye; he had 17 carries for 180 yards and a touchdown. He's only a junior, so it will be interesting to watch his progress.

ATTF, those far surpass the numbers of kramer during his high school days!

I'll be interested to see if they play him at RB or LB, you could probably make a case for either.

Edwards is a beast. I would love to have a big back to "pound the rock" with. I saw a note in the Strib prep section stating that he has the school record in the deadlift at 665 lbs!
