As I was reading through the article, I thought for sure the author would be someone locally or at least in the Big Ten region. At the end I discover it's written by a guy from the NY Daily News. Very nicely researched-I had no idea that the "U" had produced the second most NBA players in the Big Ten behind Indiana.

Gophers put that stat in Game Notes before every game. Minnesota has a very good basketball tradition.
