Gary Russell

For those of you interested in former gopher players. I was watching the Cowboys v. Raiders game last night and saw that Gary Russell now plays for the Raiders. He had a nice game; made a big tackle on a punt return. scored a touchdown and had several 5+ yard rushes.

Here's to wishing Gary good luck with the Raiders.

2nd that, I really wish he would have stayed another year and not left early. He was literally a bowling ball of a running back. I loved watching him plow over defenders trying to tackle him.

I believe he was academically ineligible, but he was fun to watch.

Russell should have been on the field the last series against Wisky rather than a totally gassed Maroney. His fresh legs and power would have got us the game winning first down. Instead we all witnessed the Kucek blotch and 20,000 wild and crazy Becky Belchers!

But what the heck do I know??
