I've been told by some friends that Mr. Hecker will be the lnext and latest Minnesota ga-gillionaire to go down in flames. I know nothing about Hecker's business interests other than he owns (or owned) a bunch of car dealerships, but I've heard he's as big of slime ball as Petters...

I don't know any more about Hecker than you, but there's a big difference between being slimy and running a Ponzi scheme. Petters' alleged activities hurt a ton of outsiders who had invested with him (including charities who may be forced out of business), AFAIK Hecker will only hurt himself, his family, and employees.

What is it about folks that want to see people fail? How is Hecker the same as Petters? Petters is a slime ball that stole money.
Hecker is a hard nosed business man that happens to have holdings in auto and real estate, two unfortunate interests given the economic climate. Any troubles Hecker has is economic related. His hard nosed style may turn people off...but its far different than a crook like Petters.
