Eric Decker question!!

Does anyone out there know what Decker's status is for playing pro baseball?

Can he sign with the Twins right after the football season or wait until the NFL draft?

Sid had a blurb that Decker's future plans were centered on the NFL. He doesn't like baseball's long schedule and all the travel.

I still wonder how Joe Mauer would have done had he gone to Florida State.

If Decker wanted to play baseball he would have until Mon. Aug. 17 to sign with the Twins. He could still play football for the Gophers and then report to the Twins next spring. Signing a baseball contract would not impact his eligibility for football.

However, as mentioned by gophmeister he wants to pursue a career in the NFL.

Looks like this guy has one hell of great future ahead of him.
Certainly hopes he gets all-american status with the Gophers this year!!
