Dodd: #66 ??

Did anyone post on this here? If so, I haven't seen it. Anyway, Dennis Dodd at CBS says that the Gophers had the 66th best program over the past decade.

Well, the Gophers didn't exactly light it up over the past decade, but they certainly weren't consistent fodder, either (except for against OSU and Michigan). 66? I'd have estimated closer to 50, but look at Dodd's comment "which direction are the Gophers heading" and that to me says that he hasn't paid the Gophers much attention.

Please do note that Notre Dame made the top 30 *cough, gag*.
 

Dodd is not a good college football writer and has limited knowledge of the game.

You do know last year there were like 35 bowl games? So 66 may be low, but it is not out of the question.

Kind makes you think about how pointless a bowl game really is...

Considering all but two of those seasons resulted in a bottom half of the Big Ten finish....66 seems right to me.
