Great show last night at the Taste of Minnesota. Still has a strong voice and is a really talented guitarist. Now if the Taste could actually get good food....

He's plenty good, but probably not the most talented one in his own family.

What did he do, adopt Adam Lambert?

sal,

Are you familiar with his wife's talent and awards?

Ms Krall is clearly the better jazz vocalist and keyboardist. Until she married Costello, however, she never composed her own lyrics, much less put original albums with ranging from rock to country to classical to Tin Pan Alley.

You're correct. He's more original and versatile. I still say she's at least his equal in talent.

G4,
I'm very much aware of Diana Krall and her work. She's a great musician and easy on the eyes. My comment was a good natured jab which I'm sure you deciphered. (should that be hyphenated?)
I'm a big EC fan. I nearly wore the grooves off of "My Aim is True" when it first came out and I always have "Armed Forces" somewhere in the rotation.

Diana is fine and all but you can't compare the two--way too different. Meant for G4L..

"Armed Forces" and "This Years Model" are two of the very best albums in any period I would say.. remember how hard it was to actually wear out an album?

I didn't mean to trash EC. In fact, I enjoy his work immensely. Have you caught the weekly show he usually hosts (perhaps on Bravo or Versus)?

I just meant that it's highly unusual for two artists of this caliber to wed. Can you imagine the future skill level of their children?

Took her to see her very favorite - the aforementioned Ms. Krall - at the Riverside Theatre in MKE just 10 days ago. Again, while I'm not as enthusiastic as her die-hard fans, being a music lover myself (and frustrated musician) I can relate to how very talented both she, and her backing trio, truly are.

Here are a couple of pix from that gig.

What show is that? I'll check Bravo, but I don't know anything about Versus. any idea on the day of the week?

9 or 10 PM. Seems to repeat several times each week. Recent guests have included Tony Bennett, Elton John, Diana Krall. 60-minute mini-concert with discussion between songs.
