In light of our AD's decision to try to gouge the crap out of us, I was very curious to see what other B1G schools pried out of their fans' hands. Now clearly, other schools can and probably will raise their current donation levels, but here's what I was able to find so far (you can copy & paste links if they don't show up as links, sorry about that if it doesn't work. Also, some data may be a year or two out of date) Ranking them roughly from high to low (and leaving us out of it for now):

Ohio State: $500/2, $1500/2, , , up to $25K/4 http://buckeyeclub.org/tickets-and-parking/football-information.php http://buckeyeclub.org/annual-giving/giving-levels.php though they do appear to grandfather ticket-buyers who have bought since the 80's to get seats with no donation. http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/tickets/faq-m-footbl.html
Nebraska: $0, 150, 250, 500, 750, , , , 2500 http://ev9.evenue.net/evenue/linkID=huskers/images/maps/FB_Market_Value_2014.pdf
Michigan: (no zero-level?) $75, 200, 350, 475, 600 http://www.mgoblue.com/genrel/121012aaa.html
Penn State: (no zero), $100, 200, 400, 600, (tiny $2000 sections) http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...df?camefrom=EMCL_416053_18725848target=_blank
Michigan State: $0, 25, 50, 100, 300, 400, 600 http://www.msuspartans.com/facilities/spartan-stadium-section-map.html
Iowa: $0, $50, 200, 400, 600 http://www.hawkeyesports.com/tickets/iowa-priority-points.html
Wisconsin: $0, $100, 200, 300, 400 http://supportthebadgers.athletics.wisc.edu/tickets/fbnewtickets.aspx
Maryland: $0, $135 divided by up to 4, $650 div / up to 4, $2200 div / up to 8 http://terrapinclub.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/2014_ByrdStadiumDiagram_2.31.jpg
Rutgers: $25, 50, 150, 250, 350 http://grfx.cstv.com/schools/rutu/graphics/F15-Seating-Chart-Final.jpg
Purdue: $0, $100, 250 http://www.seats3d.com/ncaa/purdue_university/football/#/level_1/
Illinois: $0???? http://www.fightingillini.com/tickets/football-seasontickets.html Premium seating is for suites, etc. Can't find anything about required donations. BTW, you can get public season tickets for $99 in the end zone.
Northwestern: $0???? http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...f?hq_e=el&hq_m=618789&hq_l=14&hq_v=4689499691
Indiana: Couldn't find a map - they have some kind of priority points that looks like it's a sliding scale and they move you around every year. http://www.iuhoosiers.com/sports/c-varsityclub/spec-rel/priority-points.html

So, you can see we'd probably be moving close to the current top 4, perhaps even current top 2. But here's why maybe don't worry too much just yet about this. Look at what happened at Nebraska - yes Nebraska - when apparently seat licenses got too high:

They came down in 2013 and down further in 2014. Here's the 2012 map:

Teague backed off the combined hockey/football season ticket idea, hopefully he'll back off this bad idea too.

NE expanded their stadium so the per seat went down but the total revenue went up...NE not a good comparison.

It's possible we're just first in line before the pay for play stipends kick in and all other schools will be adding donation fees too. Still not a great plan by the U.

My response to that would be to cut non revenue sports. Call me stubborn, but Football already pays for all of them. If Football needs more money, then take it from the sports that it already funds.

From what I read the Nebraska fees came down after expansion of their stadium was feared to potentially lead to open seats.

If you can wave a magic wand and double prices for football when the old prices failed to fill the stadium, perhaps you can wave the same wand and charge $150 for Women's rowing event tickets and it will become a revenue sport.

Don't post this kind of sarcasm here. If the athletic department's marketing people read this, they will think its a good idea and give it a whirl.

Man those 5 fans are going to be pissed when they can't afford to go watch the rowing match....event....competition.....people in boats racing each other thingy.....

I would have to agree. You can only "bleed" so much out of the public. I also realize times are changing and as a fan I have to adjust what is best for me whatever that outcome will be. I may just buy single seats as tickets are always available.
