I have read/heard that it will be almost exactly the same.

I've heard conflicting reports. I saw one media outlet quote one of the construction guys who said it will have the block "M" in the middle of it.

Yeah, there have been 2 conflicting reports. One said it would be an exact replica. Another said there would be an "M" at center court and "Golden Gophers" under the hoop instead of along the sides.

I really hope they got rid of the cartoon Goldy at center court. Use the M, and make it big.

I have never been a fan of the "action Goldy" logos. The only worse logo we have is Goldy leaning on the M. Hopefully both of those go the way of the dodo.
