Once I forgot to pay my bills for a month. I thought I was doing great until i realized my mistake. Then I had to pay two months worth plus fees on the next month, and sadly in my feelings of wealth I over spent and so did not really have two months of bills in my bank account any more to cover what i owed. And so the catch up carried on to another month with more fees of course.
Certainly I felt the pain when i finally paid my bills, but at least I was smart enough to know the mistake wasn't paying the bills late, it was not paying them when they were due in the first place.

It's cathartic for the boys to scream "socialism" because they are really, really pissed.

FTB, do you actually read that stuff? Wow! The Atlantic and Connor Clarke. I bet you are still a real young guy. Well that explains alot! You know that stuff doesn't have a seat at the table of the real world. It is one of the wonderful things about America, everyone does have freedom of expression and thought. It makes the world go 'round. I think Clarke is a genuine guy, in response to one of the bloggers he mentioned he hadn't thought about how to make the chart meaningful rather than just liberal propaganda (my interpretation). It's just that it wasn't the intention, but he doesn't seem against doing a chart that has application. Sometimes it is better to have common sense than to have an 'educated view point.' Educated view points can get pretty twisted up. Common sense and wisdom go together well. I'm hoping to get a composition grade from tikited soon. Haven't heard much lately from him.

Schnoodler,
Please explain how your analogy applies to anything in this thread.
Obama is spending money we don't have faster than any President in history and on things we don't need.

Just for kicks, please put the cost savings of eliminating earmarks in context, since that was supposed to end the deficit.
Oh, and what was wrong with the chart?

It doesn't matter, FTB. The boys are foaming so facts, context, history and reality are irrelevant. They are in their own socialism echo chamber.

Isn't that the truth. I am still trying to decide if it's sad or funny. Completely out of touch with reality, perspective or context. But I guess when you become irrelevent you need to scream louder to be heard.

Wow.. That sure set him straight. He must be young!! As if age is the cure to all our problems.

Jamiche- answer truthfully: Do you deny that a lot of socialistic means and principles are being deployed in the first several months of the Obama Administration?
A few of many examples I see:
Social medicine: about to be expanded at huge cost to taxpayers-this willmove to single payer within a few years. Choices will be vastly reduced if not eliminated
Government ownership of automobile companies- with no exit plan
Government ownership of banks - with no exit plan
Proposals reapportioning wealth
The control of energy to a greater degree by proposing cap and trade
The overall expansion of government, with the government picking winners and losers.
Are we now socialistic in a pure sense? No. Are we on a path that advances a socialistic society with huge government intervention? Yes. This is not "fear mongering" - it's just the truth of what is happening.

Schnoodler,
>>Completely out of touch with reality, perspective or context.<<
Oh, you must be referring to Obama who still hasn't figured out where the money will need to come from and asserted this morning that America was founded on Muslim precepts.
