I think you'd have to say that the signing of Joe Crede has been a solid success at this point. He's giving the Twins just about what he was expected to:

Great glove at 3B? - 1 error in 32 games, with a .989 fielding pct
RH power from 3B? - 8 HR's in less than 2 months, on pace for around 25 HR or more
Marginal at the plate? - Batting .240, while not great, he wasn't expected to do much more than that.

I think he's been a pleasant surprise (if you can say that) for the Twins at 3B so far this year. He seems to be getting more comfortable with the club as the season goes on; 4 HR's in his last 10 games and batting .271 in the month of May so far.

Looks like the Twins finally made a really nice signing this offseason after a handful of disasters with aging vets. Sure would be nice if they could find a way to keep him for a few seasons...

Much better than Buecher (sp.?) in every way.

Our line up actually has the potential to be a bit scary looking. As hard as that is to imagine for a Twins team. But put Mauer, Morneau, Kubel, Cuddyer and Crede in a row, all clicking that's pretty tough.
I'm happy with Crede so far too. i expected some rust, but he seems to have shaken that off.
