per the PiPress:

Kundla, 97, coached the Gophers from 1959-68. He likes Richard Pitino, the coach who led them to the NIT championship in March.

"I'm impressed with (Pitino),'' Kundla said. "He had a heck of a season. He's the son of a great coach (Rick Pitino). He did a terrific job, and he's very young (31). I really like what he's done with his defense.''

I see him all the time at tbe nursing home. I think he goes to mass every day in the nearby church.

Yes, I can relate to that, 19. Mine was in late 61 or early 62, when I was a Senior in high school.

That was in the days before the damned fire marshall forced remodeling which eventually reduced capacity from 18 thou plus to just over 15 thou.

What a wild and crazy atmosphere full of cigarette smoke!!!

It was also before the days of TV Ted Valentine. But we did have Traveler Wilson, who would only call travelling.
