That means starting on Tuesday night and another day away from work for most people who go to the tournament. It would probably put me off the list of attending in person if I needed another day away.

The Saturday night would create a better environment for the championship, but I think it would reduce the quaity of the environment for the rest of the tournament.

Huh? Who cares? The Big Ten has never been screwed out of anything because of that.

Plus, Saturday night is a terrible night for TV. Ratings stink.

You want to schedule your title game when basketball fans will be watching. And, when might they be watching? Oh, maybe like 15 minutes before one of the most exciting times of the college basketball season on Selection Sunday.

I wouldn't change a thing to the Big Ten Tourney schedule. It is set at that time for a reason. Eyeballs on TV sets on a national over-the-air network.
