"Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery hopes Gophers vs. Hawkeyes can turn into an even bigger rivalry than it has been.
"We've had great games," McCaffery said. "The games have been fabulous. With the proximity and the fans, I think there is (a rivalry). We don't have a trophy. We're not going to hoist the Floyd of Rosedale pig. But there's mutual respect."
Respect just doesn't seem like enough to fuel a rivalry.
There also will be a revenge factor for the Gophers (14-4, 3-2 Big Ten), who hope to show how much they have improved from last season when they play Sunday at No. 14 Iowa (14-3, 3-1)"
