Well deserved for EE, but 4 is too many captains. No basketball team should have more than 2.

I disagree. It should be something anyone can earn. Just a title anyway.

The more "leaders" the better.

anyone notice that the dance team has a few slam dunk hotties this year? They should be captains... Love watching the telecast for glimpses of one of the tall lean blondes.... Hubba Hubba! /pervertedness (not really ended though)
 

I even thought 2 was too many for the hockey team, which has a lot more players. One captain, two alternates is the way to go. Someone should be "the guy". Not trying to diminish the Goose's accomplishments or his leadership abilities, I love what he brings to the table.
 



Why does anyone on this board possibly care how many captains coach Pitino wants. It's a title. He felt EE deserved special recognition for his inspired play and passed down the designation. Last I checked, there are no written rules for captainship. Coach wants four, coach gets four. Your teams can have only one if you're the coach..and basketball has never done alternate captains. I'm now mad at myself for posting here. I should have let it go.
