Jif or Skippy? Possibly the old fashion kind that one must stir.

I'll start. Jif, creamy.

I am not a peanut butter fan. But I am hooked on plain peanuts.

Skippy Creamy ...

You didn't ask whether you sandwich is cut into triangles or rectangles. I had to cut rectangles for my son tonight.

Monk...anything to get the young guy to eat his peanut butter sandwich. Just make sure he has milk to drink with it. Peanut butter sandwich and beer is not a good combination. :D

Peanut butter has like 15 grams of fat for tablespoon or something like that.

The dude recognizes beer as "Grandpa's drink", which cracks me up to no end.

I'm not a beer drinker. He recognizes diet coke as dadda's drink.

Wheat or white bread?

Wheat or white bread?

White, open faced (unless packed for school-then two breads) and Skippy creamy. Anyone who eats peanut butter any other way is an extremist and possibly a leftist or terrorist.

When I was a kid I wanted my pbj's to be long on jelly and short on peanut butter. Now I make my pbj's with a lot of peanut butter and a little jelly. Substance (peanut butter) over style (jelly). Or maybe I just don't have the same sweet tooth.

With the exception of Moonlight, I'm deeply suspicious of the patriotism of anyone who prefers smooth over crunchy. In addition, anyone who eats the low sodium, low sugar version belongs in Guantanimo.

Wheat bread is the only way to go. Obama should ban white bread because it doesn't taste good, and it isn't good for you.

What exactly is your point, Doc?

Wheat bread is the only way to go. Obama should ban white bread because it doesn't taste good, and it isn't good for you.

White bread has long dominated the PBJ market and there should be regulations to allow the wheat bread to have an equal balance.

STOP THE OPPRESSION NOW!

I think you know very, very well that smooth came before crunchy and that crunchy rights advocates have skirted traditional tastes to get their product recognized.

I know for a fact that Dick Cheney uses white bread for his pbj's.

I also know for a fact though, that Dick Cheney has to have someone throw it in the air first so he can shoot it.

I would have to argue that creamy is more inclusive and chunky is more exclusive. Chunky shuts out those with dental issues such as braces and those with sensitive sphincters. Plus it's a slap and belittles those who enjoy it most by poking fun at those with weight issues. I have contacted the ACLU and requested that they sue in order to pull it from all shelves. It's a civil rights issue.

Not to mention it's a clear sign of incomplete thought processes. It should not be visible to children as they may conclude that, that, er.
they should just finish smashing the little nuggets and do the job right.

At the risk of being labeled unpatriotic, I prefer a toasted English muffin. Lightly buttered, generous amount peanut butter. PB&Js can be either wheat or white, (I’m not waffling…they both can be very good. Man, I like waffles too.) the most important factor is the freshness of the bread.

How many of you remember, before the onset of creamy and/or chunky, the old original peanut butter that even on bread, was so dry and gummy it stuck to the roof of your mouth? I do.

An English muffin with a very light layer of peanut butter, followed by a layer of cream cheese, followed by a dollop of strawberry jam. The creem cheese and peanut butter blend nicely together while the jam adds a completley different taste. Open the milk and watch Fox News all morning.

I pretty much ate a peanut butter sandwich every day of my childhood. My peanut butter tastes have run the gamut, mostly due to my mother, who did odd things with it and then served it to me in an attempt to get me to eat something new for lunch.
For a while, I was prepared peanut butter and velveeta cheese sandwiches. I suspect this shut me up for hours. Then, in a thinly veiled attempt to encourage me to eat greens, I was served peanut butter with lettuce and mayo. The crunch of iceburg is actually quite nice altho the mayo really adds to the goo factor.
I do NOT like PB&J, and still love to take a slice of bread, a little butter, a mound of peanut butter on half and then fold. Yum. My idea of fast food.
On the days we did not have Peanut Butter, I would sit frozen in front of a bologna sandwich. I had to eat it before I could go back out and play kick ball. Misery - so I'm glad you're cutting me a bit of slack, Jammer. I suffered for my peanut butter.

This Passover I finally got sick of plain matzah, so I bought some organic peanut butter (which Jews are allowed to eat). I really enjoyed it and have bought more.
