My primary observations would be:

(1) Surprised that the Gophers' nonconference SOS to this point ranks 3rd in the Big Ten, but currently they have 4 RPI top-100 wins; #30 Florida State; #53 New Orleans; #75 Omaha; and #96 Richmond. I think it's a realistic possibility that all except New Orleans will remain in the top 100, with the hope that FSU remains in the top 50 and a viable at-large candidate (like the Gophers).

(2) Conversely, IU needs to kick some serious butt during the Big Ten season to make up for its awful nonconference schedule/performance. Tommy Teriffic's Hoosiers are in a similar position to what Iowa was in last year, having to do all their heavy lifting during the conference season. That's not a safe way to do business when you play in the Big Ten. Currently the Hoosiers' best RPI win is #150 Oakland. Ouch.

And yes, I'm aware that teams like Michigan State and Michigan have played more higher-end teams than the Gophers.
