Eliason, who has started 11 of 12 games, said he’s elated with how this season has gone so far.
“It took me a while to [play at his current level], but it feels really good,” he said. “I am playing with a good group of guys, and I think we can do really good things this year and in the future. It [starting] is a great thing to happen for me. It is something that you always want to do.”
Eliason said he and his teammates have embraced Pitino’s system.
“Everything is going well [with the new coaches],” he said. “This summer and fall we pretty much learned the system, and we have been successful so far. But we are not completely there yet; we still have to improve and learn more in practice.”
