How does Amelia not mention Hightower and the other terrible officials responsible for the Florida State mess? The players adjusted to the new rules. Refs like Hightower who love to blow the whistle use the new rules as an excuse to blow it the whistle even more often.

Love the comments from Few and Izzo.
“[They’ll] say, ‘Coach, why could we play this way in the first half and not in the second?’ ” Izzo said. “And I’d have to agree with them.”
The answer is some refs are terrible. It's undeniable and yet we're just supposed to ignore it. The players need to concentrate on their own game. The media needs to call out the bad officiating.
 

The FSU game wasn't just a lot of whistles; it was REALLY BAD officiating. Bad calls and more bad calls. Three players fouled out - two Gophers and one Seminole - who should have been on the floor playing at the end. It just sucked.

+1 One could see that that son-of-a-bi-atch Hightower was loving every minute of it. Of course, he did make some great calls (against the Seminoles), but one got the idea he was being paid by the tweet.
