Pitino called early December a potentially "difficult time" for his players, who went from their best win of the season Tuesday night over Florida State into end of the semester finals. There will be a 10-day break between Tuesday's game against South Dakota State and the Dec. 20 game against Nebraska-Omaha.
"You've got a long time in between games," Pitino said. "Not as big-name opponents don't mean we can't lose any of these games. We certainly can. Mentally more than anything, we've got to have the right mind-set going into tomorrow, as well as for the rest of the month."
