The coaches know what they're talking about.

There's not a single media personality who knows how to grade anybody not playing quarterback.

Well deserved honor by Brock Vareen, he has been the glue in the backfield after the Boddy Calhoun injury (who was also playing outstanding to start the year). Cool thing about being first team All Big 10 is you get something permanent in the Hall of traditions in the Trophy case. Coaches know that Vareen was one heck of a football player for the Gophers.

Surprising but awesome. He's worked his butt off.

Someone could make the argument that he was the most valuable defensive player on the team this year. Being able to move positions midway through the year and continue to play well isn't very easy. Congrats to him!

Brock is ranked the #11 strong saftey prospect in the draft by CBS

Id like to see him put on a bit more weight for the next level.

I imagine if not drafted, Vereen will at least get an invite to camp by the Vikings

Great news for Vereen! He's an excellent football player who I think will get a very good chance to be paid to play starting next year.
