Is anyone on brokenpicturetelephone? (http://www.brokenpicturetelephone.com/) Here's the synopsis:

Just what is Broken Picture Telephone, you ask? Why is it the game of miscommunication?

Broken Picture Telephone is a game similar to the childhood game of Broken Telephone - the game in which children sit in a circle, and whisper a sentence or phrase in a circle.

If you've ever played the game, you know that very quickly hilarity ensues. Broken Picture Telephone is the web-incarnation of that old children's game, with a slight variation in how it's played. Rather than whispering words to strangers around the internet, the game alternates between words and drawings.

And yes... hilarity does ensue.

Here's (http://www.brokenpicturetelephone.com/view?id=12790) an example, and this one (http://www.brokenpicturetelephone.com/view?id=27361) is one of the funniest things I've seen lately.

Thank you...a non-political thread will definitely keep Beej away. Let's have more of these.

i don't know anything about broken picture telephones, but i just had to bump this topic because i, too, am sick of the political hackery on this board. i hardly come by this page anymore because of it.

if i wanted to hear tired, demagogic political-groupthink, i would be watching cable news.

bigten,

If you have fresh approaches that might counter conventional wisdom (ie. tired, demagogic political-groupthink), please offer them.

On the other hand, concern for one's country clearly isn't for everyone.

bigten,

If you have fresh approaches that might counter conventional wisdom (ie. tired, demagogic political-groupthink), please offer them.

On the other hand, concern for one's country clearly isn't for everyone.

i have tried, but i always seem to get lumped into some group that i don't associate with (democrat, republican, conservative, liberal). i can have a concern for my country without aligning myself with the partisans on this board.

i have no problem with the hand-wringing over the state of the economy or whether or not someone is a socialist. that's why i don't post in those threads anymore. i was trying (perhaps with a bit too much enthusiasm) to encourage more non-political conversations here.

in fact the only thread with more than one page or six replies (other than the jolie thread) that is non political is the does anyone have a clue thread, which, when i looked in on it had arguably descended into partisanship.

so it seems that i would be talking to myself:rolleyes:

And this is the 9th reply to this "non-political thread". Makes one wonder, doesn't it? Oh well, what the hell.
