Does anyone wish the gophers would use this zone defense at times? At the least the gophers would get better in practice at playing against it.
1- Johson,Carter,R.Williams
3- everyone else
1- Nolen, Westbrook, Joseph, Cobb, Allen
When we go on a run with our pressure man to man and the opposing team calls a timeout, I think it would be great to be standing there in a 1-3-1 to figure out. The plays called from the sideline no longer work. We have tremendous length.
I hated playing against the 1-3-1 in high school. Clemson struggled against Michigan because of it. Michigan has two stars and a bunch of shooters. Yet their 1-3-1 is tough as nails.
In a side note we lose a shooter in Shamala and bring in Cobbs? Does Tubby need to prioritize a shooter or two in 2010?
