You don't have 15 turnovers; ( 10 in the first half) play horrible transition defense and beat a a team like Michigan. Throw in sub par games from Joe and Rodney and there is your loss. Rodney got lost 3-4 times on defensive switches that led to easy points. Joe was tentative on offense and was having trouble creating space for his shot/drive to the bucket. IMO, the Tubster has to shorten up the bench. When the not so fab 5 came in Michigan went on a 16-3 run. JW brought them back with 2 threes and a two, but he also threw the ball away. Oto and Mav are the mayhem boys. Mav doesn't protect the ball very well. ( 2 TO's and picked once)
Oto, 2 TO's and a offensive foul. So how does Tuby shorten the bench?
I guess I would rotate EE, JW, and Ingram. Wally isn't ready yet. Northwestern
Will be tough to beat because they will take the air out of the ball and will hit us with the 1-3-1 zone. We have to do what we did in the second half against them up here. Get the ball up court quick and attack the zone with quick cuts and kick outs to Austin and Dre if the shot isn't there. Last night the Illini in the first half tried to pass the ball from the perimeter to create the "three" and the Cats completely
shut them down. They attacked better in the second half, but got to far down.
