In December, the Gophers Facebook page was adding about 175-200 "likes" per week. In the new year, that has doubled - to about 400-450 per week.
And as for buzz? Mid- to late-December, the Gophers had between 3,000 and 4,000 mentions per week. From 1/2 to 1/8? 22,832 (our "friends" to the East for the same time period had 13,666). The buzz we all yearn for and talk about ad naseum is here; people are talking about the Gophers.

I think that's the first time I could ever say that about basketball or football since I've been a fan. Wow.
