Roman blog: Summer drinking incident kept Haula from getting 'A' sooner

On Monday, Lucia said that Haula has done an A-plus job in everything he has done this season on and off the ice, including schoolwork.

And so, in Vermont, Haula got an 'A' for his jersey, meaning he is one of the assistant captains.

"He was pretty excited about it," Lucia said.

No, they won't take the A away from those guys, they will just add it to Haula's.

Glad to hear it. I would hate to see Helgeson lose it. He is everything a leader should be. He does a lot in our end without as much talent as many of his teammates have. He also knows what it is like to be a bit of an idiot with dumb penalties early on, but then take the steps necessary to harness his size and toughness into positive uses. He is one of those guys that makes me really proud to put on my maroon and gold.
