Big Ten Network analyst and former Ohio State All-American Jim Jackson ranks the Gophers fifth in the Big Ten, behind Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State. But he says that will only happen if several things come together for Smith's team.
"The continued progress of Andre (Hollins) is going to be important," he said. "Outside shooting will dictate a lot as well. If they can knock down jump shots, it will open up the court more to give Rodney and Trevor room to work inside. It allows Andre to use his penetrating skills to get to the basket."
