Funny that Wisconsin had an offer out to him because their fans will have you believe they only recruit upstanding citizens.

From another article:

When it came time for Farmer to speak, he turned and faced the gallery, apologizing to Lane, her family and to his family.

He then told the judge, "I'm really not a bad kid," and asked for the chance to finish his senior year in high school so he could earn a basketball scholarship.

But Barker reminded him that the security video from the apartment building shows him kicking Lane in the head as she cowers in a corner.

"You can see the fear on her face," the judge said.

He should get a second chance....in 3 years. No one to blame but himself.

You know, not every top recruit pans out. Things like this is why you have to try to recruit multiple guys for the same spot - you never know what's going to happen. He could've been an OSU recruit if he worked hard and kept his nose clean, but now he's got to stave off the advances of Big Bubba.

Is Big Bubba the new name of Jerry Sandusky?

Think of all the great half court games they will have in the yard.

That's what happens when you kick a female in the face and head. Throw a promising athletic future and college scholarship away for being a D-Bag.

Well, not always.

And in this case, the story may not be over with. There is a chance the sentence is changed and the guy finds himself playing D1 bball in one or two years.

Then you've got Carr, who allegedly beat his girlfriend up last week, being talked about in another GH thread.. he quickly goes from planning a weekend in Venice Beach for the Elite 24 to a visit to jail.. I can (to a degree) get past a lot of bad actions people may commit, but man.. brutalizing women is sickening. Nonetheless, second (and third, and fourth, etc.) chances are the norm.
