That was just ugly. If they can't play defense any better than that, they don't deserve a bid. Offensive struggles during a tournament game are understandable, because emotions are high and players get "geeked up". But there's no excuse to get manhandled defensively.

We finished the season by losing 3 of 4, including losses to the two worst teams in the league, and getting blown out by a team we'd beaten a few weeks earlier. Our recruiting classes are very average, and we saw teams we beat early in the season come back and beat us later, which implies we're not improving as much as everyone else. Brenda Oldfield/Frese led a remarkable transformation from perennial doormat to Big Ten and even National contender. Pam Borton is leading back to mediocrity. Very disappointing.

I agree this loss probably keeps them out of the tourney, but this is not really the loss that will cost them. It will be the one to NW and the one to IL. Win one of those two and get to 20 wins and they would have been in the tournament.
