I know I’m going to watch – can’t help but watch.
“But why”, they ask, “the endings all get botched -
An errant pass, a too-quick airy three
Is all the grim result you’ll get to see.”

Perhaps a missed layup - we’ve seen this type;
And naturally some misfires from the stripe.
They’re close, though, oh so close I want to think.
But then they go on out and really stink.

Year in, year out, we seek the taunting prize
But something seems to e’er get in our eyes.
The Princeton offense cuts us to the quick.
A zone defense - I’m feeling kind of sick.

I can’t be mad – they’re college kids, I say.
And through it all, I love it just this way.
But why the hell can’t someone make a shot!?
I’m getting old – I don’t ask for a lot!

So, yes, I’m going to watch and cheer our boys
And calmly urge, without excessive noise.
I’ll wish them positively all the luck.
Because those Wisky Badgers REALLY suck.

Oh, I wouldn't be surprised with a win. This team has a habit of dragging you into the depths and then shocking with a big win to keep you hanging on, especially when they enter that "nothing to lose" area. And after getting embarrassed, you'd hope they'd come out fighting in a rivalry game. It all depends on if that IU game lingers or not. It's a quick turnaround, a lot of times teams say they wanna get right back at it after a bad loss, so here's their chance, only two days later.
