Matt Doherty went from one of the top assistants in America, to HC at Notre Dame to HC at North Carolina to only putting together one winning season out of five at SMU.

I imagine he'll be looking for an assistant coaching job in a few weeks. He was one heck of a recruiter at KU and early on at UNC, albeit two schools that sell themselves, but he still went up against the big boys and regularly brought in McDy's AAs. If he's willing to do that role again, a major D1 program in need of a recruiting boost could do worse than adding Doherty as an assistant.

And I just realized SMU lost its previous game to that basketball juggernaut Rice, 43-39. That means SMU has scored a whopping total of 67 points in its last 2 games.
