That's right, Wisconsin doesn't score a point over the last eight minutes
and the Gophs can't win at home.
 

Rodney shoots 60% from the free throw line rather than 40% and we win.

Free throws don't matter. Just ask GW.
 

We had a higher field goal percentage and outrebounded them. If our free throw percentage would have been any higher we would have won in regulation, but hey, doesn't matter right?

All right if you want to IF, IF they had hit ONE more free throw in regulation they would have won in regulation.

IF they had hit ONE more free throw in regulation, the game would have been played completely different and you can't assume ANYTHING. This whole "alternate reality" thing is cute to piss around with, but it's just not a legitimate gripe. For all we know, if we had hit one more free throw, Wisconsin would have decided to run a different play because they were down by one. They may have made that shot, and they may have won in regulation. Who the hell knows.

Come on man, Gopsontherise started the "if" scenario, I just answered him in kind. For all we know, had Wisconsin hit one more halfway in to that 8 minutes, they may have gone on to win by 10. That's why all the IFFing is pointless. They didn't score a point in 8 minutes, they STILL won, THAT is the KNOWN.
