If he doesn't get an extension, he might as well quit or be fired because it'll be impossible to recruit with only 2 years on his contract. How can he tell a recruit that he'll be their coach for 4 years if he doesn't get an extension? That'll kill recruiting. Either extend or Tubby walks...that's my IMO. Of course, Kaler knows that so he'll get extension regardless of how the season unfolds.

That's a good point on recruiting. Recruits will have that doubt. More so now because of all the unfair negativity towards Tubby in this town.
