Tubby For Life?

We all know that Tubby is up for a contract and while things have been turning around, I am not sure if it is worth a lifetime contract...for some reason Paul Rome (a guy who got ripped pretty hard on the football side of gopherhole yesterday) thinks he should.

Personally I think Tubby has been mediocre and the Gophers should think long and hard about how long to extend Tubby for if at all...it is a tough one but I guess they extended Basement Brew right before canning him so if they are cool with paying him off after firing him if the Gophs nose dive...they might as well for recruiting.

I believe his extension is for 2 years if he gets it.

Simple rule, you roll over (extend) contracts for three years or so and then fire at appropriate time and pay the buy-out. You need to do this to ensure the program has stability. As Loon used to say, you are 100% behind the coach until the moment you fire him.

The crap they did to Mason killed his program and they still paid the buy-out.
