He even gives the winless Gophers a compliment while tabbing the B1G as the best conference to date.

A note on MSU AD Mark Hollis, who Davis mentions in this piece. Hollis is toying with the idea of getting together with USC to play a basketball game at the old Olympic Stadium in Greece. Spartans vs. Trojans in the original Olympic Stadium? Has a nice ring to it.

I'm sure Izzo would do it, and Kevin O'Neill probably would, too. O'Neill doesn't get the same pub as Izzo in terms of nonconference scheduling, but among the Power 6 schools he'll schedule with the best of 'em.

I saw a quote about Izzo recently (can't remember from who) that if they told him they were playing a game on the Moon, he'd say 'What time does the shuttle leave?'.
