Star Tribune - Gopher hoops coverage…..

Is it just me…or have the gophers vanished on the Star Tribune radar? I go to read about the game last night..and have to dig deep to get the story. The headlines are…. Ponder is hurt….really…do we care. The Vikes are bottom feeding in the league..and the gophers are 9-1, given….pretty weak non-conference schedule. But still…. It’s like they don’t exist. And you get one columnist to write about them after a decent win against VT after loosing your star player and the story is all about how lame the barn is these days. Sucks to be a gopher hoops fan these days..no coverage..and stupid sites that charge you to stream games on your PC..and then the web-stream doesn’t work.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. I don't think I've seen any reporter crank out as many stories as Amelia Rayno has in a short time:

JJD I have long noticed the Star Tribune’s poor Gopher coverage.
 

I think Amelia is doing a nice job covering the Gophers. My preference for any beat writer is to see the bulk of their writings in actual articles, not in a blog.
 


Well as a blog, it doesn't count towards your 15 articles of free reading ... Keep the blogs coming Amelia.
 

Some of us old-schoolers still prefer reading our news in a newspaper, not on a computer!
 





Actual newspaper itself, or on the computer...either way the beer is still good.
 


I stopped clicked Tribune links, not sure what counts or not and don’t really care.
 

Actually, I think when you click a link from another site it doesn't count. So link away, Bleed.

This, I did not know. Good stuff it that's the case, cause I've been avoiding the Strib like crazy to keep my count down haha

Same here. This is as good as the links to avoid paying gopher all-access.
