I just read that Zac Epping, Kenosha, WI, 6'3", 275, received an offer from the U yesterday or today. Does anyone know if it was as an offensive or defensive lineman?
Rivals lists him as an OT.

Wisconsin will be offering him this weekend as well at their JR day. Alot of speculation regarding him feel that his future in college is at DT. He is to short to play OT in the Big Ten, but could play Guard or Center.
He will be going to UCLA's spring game and has gotten interest from a some schools in the south including Alabama.

Looks like the U also offered a 2010 offensive lineman, 6'2, 256, from Texas.

Man would it be nice to pull another top player or two out of Wisconsin. Then we need to focus on getting a guy out of Iowa.

I borrowed this from the free Scout board. Thanks WisconsinCane31!! The comments below are his. Just posting here because there are some decent links.
Zac Epping 6"3 275 pound lineman from Kenosha just got an offer from Minnesota. Being from Kenosha I've seen this kid play many times and one word i would use to describe his play is "beastly".

Personally i think he would be a tremendous help to your line whichever way he ends up playing. Already got Konrad Zagzebski and if you can get Epping too you'll most likely end up with two of if not the two best players from Wisconsin in 2010.
Curious to what you guys think of him?
^^^Nice YouTube video, he looks good on both sides of the ball.

Does he play against any good teams?

He did not receive an offer from Wisconsin last weekend. Basically all the kids that attended that were offer worthy were told to come to camp and show their goods with pads on.

I'd say that he definitely doesn't have the speed or first step to be a DE in college.

If he plays on the defensive side of the ball he would be a DT prospect not a DE.

Wisconsin only has about 15 spots open for next year. Like I said before, this may be a good year for Minnesota to poach some good talent from the state of Wisconsin. If UW had a class of 20-22 spots players like Eggen and Epping would have received offers. Since the number is so low they have to sure on the players they are going to offer, hence the preference for them to come to camp and battle it out.

Boy, if that's the case, that's a pretty strong assumption that they would want to go there in the first place. "You'd be lucky to have us" vs "we'd be lucky to have you" - hear me Eggen, Epping and any other WI prospect offered by the U of M and "not yet" by UW?
