Can we ever improve on our ability to make them?

I don't think we can. It's been a problem for a long time (seemingly years). You're going to have off days and miss shots, especially three-pointers and such. But if this team could just make the easy ones right in front of their face, they would have 2-3 more wins right now and would look pretty good. Today was a joke, capped by Nolen missing an uncontested one late in the game.

Paul Carter can't shoot, but the guy has to play. At least he follows the shot and retrives many of the ones he misses and ends up at the line. The guy is our best rebounder by far, and he needs to play 30 minutes a game.

And here's the thing I love about Joseph. With his release point and high arc, he can get his shot off seemingly anytime, even if closely guarded. Blake and Westbrook can't say that. Blake is ultra-quick with the release, but he still needs space. Joseph does not. If he can be our most reliable shooter, he needs to play 30 minutes a game as well.

Oh, and the starting lineup is not going to just start to work. It is a bad mix of palyers and positions. Tubby, you're great and we're lucky to have you, but come on. Really? Make a change. It's like putting a backup QB in, sometimes it just has to happen. And sometimes it works too. Can we at least find out?

Missing the short easy ones is a combo of aggressiveness, confidence and strength. Typical problems for young teams. they'll correct themselves. Soon enough? isn't looking good.
