Gopher nonconference schedule update (June 14): no Oakland

A member of Oakland's basketball staff confirmed that Oakland will not play the Gophers in 2011-12. A couple months ago OU head coach Greg Kampe reported his Grizzlies would play at Minnesota, but apparently the game fell through. The Grizzlies will, however, play Michigan @ the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Still seeking official confirmation whether the Gophers will play both NDSU and SDSU. Also of note, according to the online season-ticket renewal form, it appears the Gophers' opener vs. Bucknell will be Saturday, Nov. 12.

What we know (or has been reported) about the Gophs' 2011-12 nonconference schedule, with some conjecture (1st-round Old Spice opponent) thrown in. According to the Gopher ticket office, there will be 10 regular-season nonconference home games.
