Pitching coach's son

Does anyone know if the Gopher pitching coach's son (Oakes) is going to follow his older brothers to the U? I've heard he's supposed to be the best of the 3?

No he is actually the worst of the three. I think he is still a good pitcher, but from speaking with Coach Oakes directly, they do not believe he is a D1 type player. I spoke with him before the season though, so he could have made some improvements. I am sure they would give him a walk on opportunity, but from what his father said he will probably end up at either a juco or possibly a d2 or naia school.

Thanks for the update. I know Jordan has been a hotbed for baseball, the Beckman boys (Jon & Ron), etc.

He's very talented, but he doesn't through as hard as the other 2. Very nice family though and a strong desire for baseball. He could improve.
