I'd like to go back to the "diamond" on the side of the shorts, with either the Gopher or block "M" inside the diamond. Think we had those in '82 and '97, among other years. If it's done right, it's a classic look, like the Chicago Bulls uniform.

That said, my guess is we'll go to a more modern (read: gaudier) look.
 

Does anyone else think the Gophers should wear the gold uniforms every home game? I really don't like the white ones very much and the gold matches the student section shirts. Just seems to make sense.
 

I always liked the gold uniforms, works for me.

I think I notice that they switch from gold to white when they feel they've lost their mojo. Then back to gold when that didn't work...then back to white again, etc. And when they win, they stick with that color.

True?

YES! I detest the white uniforms.

Golden Gophers should where GOLD at home. Period.

Hold a ceremony where all the white uniforms are set ablaze.

Just MHO.
 




I think they should where gold too but I also think they should wear gold as well.

I don't ever recall doing that before! This getting old is getting old.

Further evidence from yesterday. Playing golf with a buddy I hit a nice solid drive dead left into some trees. The rough is pretty deep due to the wet conditions inhibiting frequent cutting. I marched out along the line I thought the ball was on and set my bag down as a marker and started looking for my ball. I had no luck. My partner had been on the other side of the hole and after he hit his ball he came over to help me. He walked straight to my bag and found my ball 1 stinking yard from my bag.



Classic.
 



I guess I'm in the minority, I don't mind it when they pull out white jerseys, as long as they keep it limited. Or some kind of schedule like the Lakers in the NBA, where they wear white on Sundays only, something like that. I agree though, Gold has to be worn the vast majority of the time, we are the Golden Gophers...lol

I also wish they'd sell gold jerseys, instead of only maroon. Same for football.
 

home whites

I used to dislike the home whites, but they have grown on me. I think in general home teams should wear white. It's gotten out of hand with Illinois wearing orange, Ohio St wearing grey and the whatever coler that looks like puke that Missouri wears.

I think we ought to go back to the basketball pants that have the button fly in the front of the uniform. (That ought to give you a hint as to how old I am.)
