Glad to see these two heavyweight conferences go at it as well. This is their first full-fledged challenge. ... the first few have been of the 4-game variety.

And a tip of the cap to the Big East, which didn't simply exclude its 4 traditionally worst teams. Marquette, Notre Dame & Villanova are among the 4 Big East schools not participating.

Marquette will have its fill of the SEC. The Warriors host Vandy, play @LSU and may also face off against Ole Miss at the Paradise Jam.

Outside of the SEC and Paradise Jam, there are some other solid games for MU -- @Wisconsin and a neutral site game (Madison Square Garden) against Washington.
 

That's the kind of nonconference schedule I'd like to have at Minnesota at least once every blue moon.

Even excluding the Paradise Jam, the Warriors will play 4 games vs. other BCS schools. That's impressive.
