Did anybody catch Spencer T's broadcasting debut?

Sorry that this is so late, but I've been trying to log in ever since the format changed....:eek: I caught the Northwestern vs. New Hampshire game on Sunday on the BTN and who was doing the color commentary? Our own Spencer Tollackson!!! Let's just say........it was a bit painful to listen to. He was trying hard, probably too hard. He's well spoken and knowledgeable but really forced things (tried a couple of Dickie V. lines that made me shudder). He'll get better, and it will be interesting to see if he does any future Gopher games.

I caught it, it was quite painful. The opening commentary was horrendous, but it got a little better after that.

Just a FYI, it was Penn State, not Northwestern, playing New Hampshire.

He probably need to just settle in a little bit.

That first time out, just like playing that first college game, can be a bit overwhelming. Once he relaxes a little and starts to get used to his partner, being on camera while talking, etc... he'll be fine.

It's all about increased repititions.
