Damn. Al Jefferson tears ACL, likely out for the year.
Safe to say the Clippers will have to wait at least another year to collect on their first round pick from the Wolves.
How many games can the Wolves win without big Al?

Aww man...I saw this live last night and it looked horrible. My first thought is that as bad as it is for this year he prob won't be ready to play 100% untill this time next year. :( He was having such a dominating stretch since the 1st of the year. I say we win 4 games. Its going to bad unfortunitly. What a buzzkill to the day.
You will be missed BIG AL!

Let's see...I believe there's like 32 games left in the season. We MIGHT go 4-28, if we're fortunate.

Our team is jinxed...K Love will be playing 40 min a game now and hopefully the Thunder continue to win a few and the Clippers somehow don't play like the Clippers and MAYBE just MAYBE Love develops into some sort of beast and we get a top 3 pick...a lot to be hoping for when its our Wolves.

Wow, that's a shame. Hopefully he heals 100% and is ready to roll by the start of next season.
Howl Wolves!!

I've lost track of this. Had Al been added to the All-star squad before his injury?

No, he got the complete shaft. Shaq got his spot which is a shame considering Shaq doesn't even play every game. If the Suns come to town and a kid is a huge Shaq fan so a mom/dad pay the money to take their kid to the game to see him and because the Suns are on a back-to-back he rests and the kid never gets to see him...is that what the NBA wants in an "all-star"?!

I was at the Wolves v Rockets game on Saturday sitting in good seats to watch Jefferson work. He was the best player on the court and had no problem scoring over and around Yao. First time I've seen him live. Hope he can recover. He is basically the whole team right now and without his inside presence, the Wolves will struggle mightly.
Sure would be nice to have a frontcourt rotation that includes Jefferson, Love, and Griffin. If not Griffin, then a slasher like Harden or a PG (not many options in the draft for point guards that are difference makers).
BTW - I was rather impressed with Love. Really active and played with a ton of energy. Grabbed every rebound in his area. Needs to work on his shot and post moves but he's a better athlete than I think people give him credit. I still think Mayo will be the better player but it certainly isn't a total loss as Love can be a player. McCan't on the other hand...

Was watching and you could tell he was done for the year. Kind of sucks as they were really improving. I hope to see some guys step up and get some good experience.
Jason Collins/Calvin Booth, it's time to step up. Hopefully they can do something in the low post :-)

They won't have anybody who can put the ball in the basket without him but there might be a little better ball movement and defense. Instead of going 10-22 they'll go 5-27.
