Here is how I think the Big Ten will end up at this point.

MSU 16-2
OSU 12-6
Ill 11-7
PU 11-7
WI 11-7
PSU 10-8
MN 9-9
MI 9-9
NW 6-12
IA 3-15
IU 2-16

I detect a Wisconsin fan :)

I think the Gophs find a way to get to 10-8 -which is the magic number for a sure NCAA berth.
I have a feeling they may pull off a win at either Penn State or Michigan and perhaps drop a home game. So I have it like this:

MSU 15-3
Purdue 12-6
Illinois 11-7
MN 10-8
Wisc 10-8
OSU 10-8
PSU 9-9
MI 9-9
NW 7-11
Iowa 4-14
Indy 2-16

I'd say Michigan State will lose two more games, two of @ Michigan, @ Illinois and @ Purdue. That still will win the title outright.

Can't see any way Penn State only loses three more games. Their remaining schedule is brutally tough, including road games vs. Purdue, Illinois and Ohio State. If Penn State gets to 10-8, that would be a great finish for the Nitts.

Gophers at 9-9 or 10-8 is about right. 11-7 is doable but not counting on it.

Michigan State: 14-4
Purdue: 12-6
Illinois: 12-6
Minnesota: 11-7
Ohio State: 11-7
Wisconsin: 9-9
Northwestern: 8-10
Penn State: 8-10
Michigan: 7-11
Iowa: 6-12
Indiana: 1-17

-Michigan and particularly Penn State have difficult schedules the rest of the way...I could see both taking a slide the last third of the way. Michigan still has Purdue and Sparty at home (along with the Gophers), and four road games; Penn State has Illinois twice, as well as Ohio State and at Purdue and Iowa.

-By contrast, Wisconsin's schedule is pretty soft the rest of the way, so they could make a run

-Purdue has Michigan State twice, but their toughest games beyond that are at home, with one game @ Michigan being their toughest.

I hate Wisconsin, but saw a soft schedule. PSU was the other team, that I thought could go the other way. Gophers really need to get to 10-8.

So my Bucks are going 3-4 the rest of the way?? That would basically require a home loss to Illinois and a loss at Northwestern, in addition to the likely losses at Wisky and Purdue ... not saying it can't happen, but it doesn't seem likely.

As much as I hate to say it, Wisconsin is the team we need to worry about moving us out of the top 5 of the Big Ten. With their schedule, I don't see how they don't finish 10-8 at the worst. Which means they will make the tourney yet again. We need to beat them at the Barn. The good news is we pretty control our own destiny since we have Michigan twice, and have already beaten Illinois, Wisconsin, and Penn State once. A few wins in those matchups and we're in great shape.

I predict 11-7 and a four seed for the Gophers in the BTT.
