Yikes. Was it that long ago that we used to look at the positives after a game like this? Have our expectations risen that high so fast for a team that sports Tubby's first recruiting class?

IN a game most figured the Gophers would lose, the Rodents:

> gave an OSU team that has been playing lights out a really tough game on their home floor
> held the Buckeyes to 42% shooting when they'd shot 60% the last 3 games
> won the battle of the boards, AND the offensive glass
> had more assists and more blocks than the Buckeyes
> held Evan Turner to 4-for-14 shooting while he led the Buckeyes with 3 TO's

It was going to be and has been a season of growing pains, we knew that going in. Amazing how short our memories are, we also figured at the beginning of the season that scoring could be a problem, who was going to be the "go-to scorer", etc. All this has rang true.

Call it nit-picking or sour grapes but this was one in which the Gophers had almost all the breaks go against them; missing layups/dunks, not coming up with loose balls. Good grief, JWill played three minutes and SHOULD have had 4-6 points easily.

Time to regroup and take care of business against Indiana, get back on track.

You nailed it OO...Still thinking we'll be 22-8 at the end of the conference season. I'll take that. JW clearly cost us 4 pts for sure in the 1st half. His not getting back on defense is not acceptable, and his miss from 2 ft is also not acceptable. Having said that, Colton made some bonehead plays (weak passes that cost us pts) as well. Our 'bigs' continue to be below average. Can't wait until Ralph & Colton are sophs.....This is still a very young team that IS getting better. The lack of scoring from AN is going to be a problem as teams won't guard him (tightly) if he doesn't become a threat to score some pts. He's capable of fixing that. This team should win 4 of the last 7 and head into the BT Tourney with a 2 game win streak. If they could beat either Penn St or Mich on the road that would add another building block to their season. GO GOPHS!
